* A long hose
* Duct tape
* A bucket or other container
* Scissors
Instructions
1. Cut the hose. Cut the hose in half so you have two pieces of equal length.
2. Attach the duct tape. Attach the two pieces of hose together with the duct tape. Make sure the connection is tight so that water doesn't leak out.
3. Place the bucket or other container under the end of the hose. Make sure the container is large enough to hold the amount of water you want to siphon.
4. Insert one end of the hose into the swimming pool. Make sure the end of the hose is submerged in water.
5. Suck on the other end of the hose. You will need to suck hard enough to create a vacuum. This will cause water to flow through the hose and into the bucket or other container.
6. Continue sucking until the bucket or other container is full. Once the container is full, stop sucking and remove the hose from the pool.
7. Empty the bucket or other container. Pour the water from the bucket or other container into a drain or another location where you want it to go.
8. Repeat steps 4-7 until the pool is drained to the desired level.
Tips
* If the water in the pool is too deep for you to reach, you can use a pool noodle to extend the reach of the hose.
* If the hose keeps floating to the surface of the pool, you can weigh it down with a few rocks.
* If the water is not siphoning properly, check to see if there are any kinks in the hose. Straighten out the hose and try again.
