What do you when your pool has too much chlorine and the pH is still at correct level?

Reduce chlorine levels without affecting pH:

1. Dilution: Add fresh water or rain water to the pool. This can help dilute the chlorine concentration.

2. Chemical Neutralizer: Use a chlorine neutralizer or reducer. These chemicals convert free chlorine into combined chlorine, which is less irritating. Be sure to follow dosing instructions.

3. Dechlorinating Granules: Some pool stores sell dechlorinating granules or crystals. These products specifically remove chlorine and do not affect pH levels.

4. Sunlight: Exposure to sunlight breaks down chlorine over time. If you can, leave the pool uncovered during the day.

5. Aeration: Running the pool pump and allowing water to circulate can help dissipate some chlorine.

6. Wait it out: If the chlorine level is only slightly high, it may naturally dissipate within a few days, especially in outdoor pools.

Note: Always test your pool water before and after making adjustments to ensure proper chemical balance. Adjust pH if needed after chlorine levels have normalized.
