Gilt-head bream (Sparus aurata) are omnivorous fish that feed on a variety of plant and animal matter. Their diet includes algae, seagrass, zooplankton, small crustaceans, mollusks, and small fish. They may also feed on detritus and other organic matter found on the sea floor.
