Preparation:

1. Turn off the swimming pool pump and ensure it's disconnected from the power source.

1. After operating the filter for a few minutes, perform a backwash cycle to rinse the sand bed and remove any remaining sediment or loose sand particles.

Step 12: Rinse and Waste:

1. Follow up the backwash cycle with a rinse cycle, then a waste cycle to ensure the water coming out of the filter is clear.

Step 13: Balancing Water Chemistry:

1. After replacing the sand, check and adjust the pool water's chemical levels to ensure proper sanitization and balance.
