2. Close the valves on the inlet and outlet lines of the heater.

5. Flush water through the heater using a hose or a bucket.
6. Reinstall the end caps on the inlet and outlet ports of the heater.
7. Reconnect the inlet and outlet lines to the heater.
8. Open the valves on the inlet and outlet lines of the heater.
9. Turn on the power to the heater.
