What temperature does a salt system stop working in pool?

Most salt systems are designed to operate within a temperature range of 60°F to 104°F (16°C to 40°C). When the water temperature drops below 60°F, the salt system will not be able to generate chlorine effectively. This is because the chemical reaction that produces chlorine requires a certain amount of heat to occur. When the water temperature is too low, the reaction will not take place and no chlorine will be produced.

Some salt systems have a built-in heater that will automatically turn on when the water temperature drops below a certain level. This will help to keep the water temperature within the ideal range for chlorine generation. However, if your salt system does not have a built-in heater, you may need to manually adjust the temperature of the pool water. This can be done by adding warm water to the pool or by using a pool heater.

It is important to keep the pool water temperature within the ideal range for chlorine generation in order to ensure that your pool water is properly sanitized. If the water temperature is too low, the salt system will not be able to produce enough chlorine to kill bacteria and other harmful microorganisms.
