1. Turn off the pool pump and filter. This will prevent damage to the pump and filter.
2. Open the drain valve on the pool filter. The drain valve is usually located at the bottom of the filter.
3. Connect a hose to the drain valve. The hose should be long enough to reach a nearby drain.
4. Turn on the water supply to the hose. The water will start to flow out of the pool through the hose.
5. Let the pool drain completely. This may take several hours.
6. Once the pool is empty, turn off the water supply and disconnect the hose.
7. Close the drain valve on the pool filter.
Tips:
* If the pool has a lot of debris in it, you may need to clean the filter basket before you start draining the pool.
* If the pool is very deep, you may need to use a submersible pump to help drain the pool.
* Be sure to drain the pool slowly to avoid damaging the pool liner.
