Summertime is one of the favorite seasons by Pinoys. This is not really surprising as there are about a hundred things to do and a lot of opportunities to grab for both learning and enjoyment purposes.

- Going to the beach or resorts. Since time immemorial, summer is never complete without hitting the waters. There are numerous and popular beaches in the country to swim to, dive into and do snorkeling - Batangas, Zambales, Palawan, and Boracay. It is no wonder then that PH gathered quite a number of international recognitions from several travel magazines and organizations. To cite an example, Palawan and Boracay Islands are on the first and second spots in the list of top ten islands in the world according to a survey of readers by US travel magazine Travel + Leisure.
- Attending summer classes. If you are a Pinoy mom, the season always presents an opportunity to improve your kids' talents by enrolling them to diverse lessons ranging from arts and crafts, music, karate even culinary arts. Learning a new language and enhancing technical abilities in writing, math and other academic subjects are all productive experiences that every child should take advantage of. Not to mention that the interaction with various types of people helps boost their social skills.
- Being active in sports. Sportsfest are normally held during the hot seasons. Basketball and volleyball leagues are formed in inter-barangays. Organizations arrange marathons for a cause or 5km to 10km running events. There are schools that train their soccer teams to compete nationwide. Churches or sometimes those who belong in a corporate environment opt to hold the event which ranges from Palarong Pinoy (Filipino games) like palo sebo (greased bamboo pole climbing), luksong sako (sack race) and karera ng baong sangko (coconut shell stilts race) to indoor activities such as table tennis, chess and dama (checkers).
- Visiting churches during the Holy Week. Doing Visita Iglesia (church visit) has been a common practice by Catholics around the world. It has been adopted in the country and now a part of the Philippine culture as devotees go and pray in at least seven different parishes.
- Planning out-of-town trips. Be it in Tagaytay or Baguio, many city dwellers choose to travel to places with cooler climate.
