Why is there no suction in the skimmer?

- Clogged skimmer basket

How to fix it:

1. Clean the skimmer basket. Remove the skimmer basket and rinse it off with a hose. If the basket is very dirty, you may need to soak it in a solution of pool cleaner and water.

2. Check the skimmer line for blockages. If the skimmer line is clear, you can move on to the next step. If the skimmer line is blocked, you will need to clear the blockage.

3. Check the water level in the pool. The water level should be about halfway up the skimmer. If the water level is too low, the skimmer will not be able to suck in any water.

4. Check for air leaks in the skimmer system. Look for any cracks or holes in the skimmer, skimmer line, or pool pump. If you find any leaks, you will need to seal them.

5. Check the skimmer valve. Make sure the skimmer valve is open. If the skimmer valve is closed, the skimmer will not be able to suck in any water.

6. Check the pool pump. Make sure the pool pump is running properly. If the pool pump is not running, the skimmer will not be able to suck in any water.
