How many women have died on mt Everest?

As of May 2019, there have been 118 recorded deaths of women on Mount Everest. This number includes both climbers who died while attempting to reach the summit, as well as those who died during their descent or while still on the mountain. The vast majority of these deaths were caused by altitude sickness, avalanches, falls, or exposure.
