If you choose to travel by land and save even more money, you should weight the pros and cons of traveling by train, by bus or driving the family car to the ski resort. Traveling by train is a lot faster than taking the bus or driving to your destination so you might want to lean towards that direction. The only drawback here is that you will probably need to take a cab to the resort from the train station so you get to haul your bags part of the way.
