Zell am Ziller is the first gateway to the fantastic Zillertal Arena ski area. 166 kilometres of slopes and 51 state-of-the-art lift facilities at an elevation of between 1,300 and 2,505 metres, offer the ultimate experience for winter sports enthusiasts from the beginning of December until Easter � winter fun and Alpine flair at their very finest!
The pleasant little Gerlosstein ski area (929 m � 1,830 m), situated above the hamlet of Hainzenberg, is part of the Zillertal Arena lift association. With its 12.7 kilometres of slopes, it is a perfect ski area for families. The slopes are quiet and there is virtually no queuing time!
Zell am Ziller
Experience the ultimate in winter sports fun in the idyllic holiday resort of Zell am Ziller, at an altitude of 580 m! With a population of some 2,000 inhabitants and covering an area of 2.4 square kilometres, Zell is located at the very heart of the Zillertal valley. The market village is the valley’s administrative and educational centre. The centuries-old tradition of lodging and hospitality in Zell was documented as far back as 1428 when an envoy travelling from Italy to Salzburg, noted that there was a very good inn there! Together with the surrounding mountain hamlets of Gerlosberg, Hainzenberg, Zellberg and Rohrberg, Zell can accommodate some 5,600 guests.
Zell can only be described as an absolute paradise in the snow for families with ski and snowboard schools and a children’s park on the Rosenalm, the 7 km-long natural toboggan run on the Hainzenberg mountain which is floodlit until 1 am, and the 14 km-long cross-country skiing trail which connects with the trails to Hippach and Mayrhofen. A wild, twisting ride on the �Arena Coaster� guarantees the ultimate in fun! The recreation park (Freizeitpark Zell) is yet another attraction in Zell with an artificial ice-skating rink, a curling rink, indoor tennis courts and a modern four-lane bowling alley.
The cafe-restaurant with its kiddies’ play area offers superb views of the surrounding mountains. Magical walks through a sparkling winter wonderland are sure to make your holiday an experience you’ll never forget! And, after a hard day’s skiing or snowboarding, a visit to one of the apres-ski bars beside the base station is a must for the young and the young at heart!

Zellberg
Zellberg has a population of 700 and comprises an area of 12 km. The municipality is subdivided into the districts of Zellbergeben and Zellberg.
Rohrberg
Rohrberg has a population of 400 and comprises an area of 10 km. Rosenalmbahn ski lift gives access to Zillertal Arena, the Zillertal's largest skiing area. Next to the basestation you find the roller coaster "Arena Coaster".
Hainzenberg
Hainzenberg has a population of 600 and comprises an area of 21 km. Here is the basestation of the family ski resort Gerlosstein/Zillertal Arena and the 7 km long, until 1.00 am illuminated toboggan run.
Gerlosberg
Gerlosberg has a population of 380 and comprises an area of 16 km. You can reach the middlestation of the ski resort Zillertal Arena comfortable by free ski bus.
