Canada Travel Advice: A Quick Guide

2016/7/23 15:03:29

Nothing is quite as refreshing as taking a trip to the mountains. Clean air, fresh snow and blue skies can do wonder for a person's outlook on things. Perhaps one of the best places to go searching for scenery such as this is none other than those that are located within Canadian territory. Skiing is a wonderful way to experience the outdoors and enjoy mother nature at the same time. A few helpful pieces of Canada travel advice will be dispensed here.

If you're from in Canada, a mere familiarization of the roads and highways will be helpful in your travels. If visiting from out of the country, be sure to have your passport and luggage conveniently sized, especially if you're traveling by plane. Maybe you're from the United States. You won't have to worry about speaking French, as most Canadians speak English, too. Assuming that you're traveling here for the ski resorts, some of the most famous in the world are located here.

Mount Washington is known worldwide for its amazing amount of snowfall. The snow is very deep, a perfect setting for skiing fans. Located on the Vancouver Island BC, they also offer hiking, biking, snowboarding and more. Boasting a spectacular setting, this is one place that you don't want to pass up if you enjoy the occasional breath of fresh mountain air.

Perhaps you're interested in golfing as well as skiing. Mont Tremblant is for you. Located within Quebec, this quaint, gorgeous vicinity can be enjoyed not only in the winter, but in the summertime as well. During the cold months, snow lines the mountains and turns it into a perfect ski resort. During summer, the snow is melted away, and in its place is a lovely, green golfing facility. They also play host to competitions and events such as the "Coors Light Look Good Tour."

Perhaps the most famous of these locations is Sunshine Village. Nestled snugly within Banff National Park in Alberta, this resort spans the Great Divide. The grounds possess a unique, mild climate that gives the snow a light and airy texture, sometimes called "Champagne Snow." The historical significance of the place is also enjoyable to learn about, with a history as rich as its surroundings. It's a fun tourist attraction.

Last but not least, we come to Whistler Blackcomb, another famous resort known for its luxurious skiing slopes and stunning scenery most often decked in snow. They boast ski lifts, ski and snowboard rentals and a pretty hotel with a great view. This place is located just north of Vancouver in British Columbia.

How to prepare for a trip like this is simple. Just pack warm, winter clothes for the ski resorts, and light clothes for the warmer areas. Sunscreen is important, even when it's overcast outside. Make your hotel reservations ahead of time. It wouldn't be very fun to arrive at your hotel and discover that there are no rooms available. Thankfully, the internet makes lodging reservations easier than ever before.

In short, a visit to Canadian mountains and skiing resorts is a unique and exciting event that you will always be glad that you made. The snowfall is something that a lot of people don't ever get to experience, especially those who live in the city. Just be sure to plan ahead, pack according to your needs and again, don't forget to bring your camera!
