Question -
What are the most important and effective things to do the day of weigh-in for wrestling to stay in your weight class? For example: If you need to weigh in @ 160 and you are at 161.6 what do you do? Especially involving water weight... Any tips would be appreciated!

Water weight is tough. It is water we need to thrive on. I have HEARD of using water pills, etc. to cut that down. One big thing I have used is eating veggies. NO fruits! espically before 2-3 days on weigh in. It doesn't low you down on water Fruits have too much water-sugar which hits weight gain. If you are a pound and half the day before . I used to eat veggies; broccli-celery-carrots and wear a sweat suit that makes you sweat drinking little bits of water and somehow worked for me. That doesn't always work though, I have been burned by that too! Because it is almost 2 lbs. which is not always water weight. Eat light but healthy! That MAY get that weight off. Hope that helps
