Question
Hi again, another few questions for you.
1) What does the future hold for Sting in TNA ? Will he be returning anytime soon?
2) What do you personally make of TNA now since Hogan & Bischoff have came in? I am not enjoying it as much, there seems to be too much talking and promo rather than actually wrestling!
3) Do you know of any wrestlers in any company that straight up refuse to cut themselves, I've heard Chris Jericho won't ?
Cheers,
Martin
Answer
Hi Martin. Thanks for the questions.
1. It seems like TNA is running the same type of angle they did with Sting back in WCW, in that he would appear in the rafters for a long period of time before doing anything. We'll just have to wait and see how long they drag it out this time.
As far as long term plans, I think we'll get out of Sting what we've been seeing, in that he'll work for a period of time, then have some time off. He's not going to be a full time competitor.
There's been rumors for a while that 2010 would be his last year wrestling, and that TNA would basically be putting on a retirement tour. With Hogan %26 Company in TNA, that may have changed, and Sting may have put his retirement on hold.
2. I don't mind it so far. I do agree that there is too much talking and not enough action. The one thing I didn't want to happen that has happened, at least early on, is that Hogan's buddies are getting pushes. Scott Hall and Sean Waltman I don't mind so much, because I think they can still get over with the crowd in the right situation. But the Nasty Boys? They haven't been relevant for years, and it shows. Now Jimmy Hart is managing them, which I guess isn't so bad. How long until Brutus Beefcake shows up?
3. I guess I don't really know for sure, other then I've heard the Motor City Machines guns refuse to. You can probably tell just by looking at a wrestlers forehead. Pretty much every wrestler has been asked to blade before, and they if don't any scars on their forehead, there's a decent chance they won't do it, or at least not very often.
Thanks again for the question. Let me know if you have anything else.
Have a great day!
Dave
