Answer
How are you doing Nishant?  Your question is a very complicated question, but I will give you the best answers that I can.  I am not as familiar with wrestling in India as I could be, but if you are looking at the US, the answers should be similar.

Professional Wrestling can be very political, however, not nearly as bad or as cut-throat as it is in the bigger shows (WWE, TNA, ROH, and even the larger Japanese shows).  What makes it political is the egos.  As you are aware, the winners and losers are pre-determined by the booker, but there are many independent wrestlers and big show wrestlers (Goldberg is my favorite reference when I talk to others about petty win-loss records in wrestling).  The easiest way to avoid politics is to do what the booker tells you to do, listen to the respected veterans, and don't say to much to get you noticed.  This is the greatest lesson you can have in wrestling.  As it was explained to me by the guy that trained me, Necro Butcher, you have two eyes, two ears and one mouth; watch listen then ask questions.

You have to concentrate on both, but in the beginning, it's the wrestling.  If you can't bump, you are unsafe in the ring, and you can't take and give moves that look believable... it doesn't matter how good of an actor you are.  Once you have your skills down on the athletic side, then you can work on acting.  Wrestling is muscle memory.  Once you have the moves, they don't really go away that badly.  Acting is different and must always advance.

In my opinion, wrestlers take steroids because the world of professional wrestling is very competitive, in that for every 10,000 professional wrestlers there are, one will be a main eventer in WWE.  Some people convince themselves so deep into their mind that they are one of them, that they take the steroids so that they look the part.  I have my opinions on some that take steroids, but have never seen it.

There are many fine wrestling schools out there.  As far as in India, I could find one.  Here's a link to their facebook  www.facebook.com/pages/Official-ICW-Wrestling.../171197559892.  In the US it would matter on what area of the US you would be looking to reside in before I could give you a good answer there.

Wrestling does hurt, but mostly in the beginning.  Training and teaching your body to take the abuse that your back and neck will take.  Bumps hurt, but we get used to it.  Mostly, once you are trained and can bump on demand without hurting yourself, the pain then becomes when the adrenaline wears off after a great show.

In the big shows, the schedule is quite hectic.  WWE wrestlers are on the road almost 300 days out of the year.  They drive 300-500 miles a day, fly maybe twice a week, and perform even with nagging injuries.  On the independent circuit, it varies from wrestler to wrestler.  I wrestle about 3-4 times a month.  My schedule is not very hectic, except I usually have to drive 150-200 miles to the venues.

There would be no need change your diet to include meat.  If you have been working very hard and have a very good physique, you understand the need for protein.  As long as you keep your protein intake up to keep your muscles strong and healthy, there would be no need to change that.  However, I encourage you to make sure you are flexible.  More wrestlers get hurt severely due to lack of flexibility then anything else.

The best way to proceed is to find the wrestling school that is near where you live.  Find out what they require for a down payment, monthly payments, and the dates they train.  Secondly, go into wrestling with a clean mind.  In my experience training potential wrestlers, the people with martial arts training tend to have a very difficult time in wrestling.  Because you have already taught your body how to absorb impact one way, a lot of people have a hard time relearning a new way.  Wrestling is un-natural in that you have to "Allow" yourself to be hit.  A lot of people with martial arts training constantly flinch.  Wrestling is grandiose in that the crowd needs to see everything you are doing.  Many people with martial arts training tend to hide what they are doing.

I know this was a long answer and it only scratched the surface.  However, I wish you all the luck in the world.  It sounds to me like you really want to be a professional wrestler.  The desire is easy, the bumping is hard.  Hopefully, I'll see you in the ring before too long.  Good luck and take care.
