jeff hardy
Question
i recently read an article where RVD stated that he and jeff hardy hate the same things about wwe, which is why they signed for tna. do u have any idea what these things may be??
Answer
Hi Dipesh. Thanks for the question.
I read the same thing, and although I can't really tell you for sure what they are talking about, I have a few ideas.
I know both of them have mentioned in the past that WWE's schedule is brutal. I know that was one of the reasons RVD left WWE, as he said he was just burnt out from all the traveling, and that if he was going to resign, he wanted to work a lighter schedule. TNA's schedule is much lighter. Impact is live every other week, and TNA works a limited amount of houseshows. Also, Impact is aired from Orlando every week, while Raw is in a different location every week.
Another reason might be the overall push the wrestlers got. Hardy was arguably the most over wrestler in WWE for a long period of time, yet it took forever for him to win the title. Then when he did win it, he didn't hold it very long. Granted, a lot of that had to do with Hardy's personal issues, but it still had to be frustrating for him. RVD also didn't like the push he was receiving, and at the time, he was unhappy with the way WWE was promoting ECW.
They might have also been frustrated with WWE's politics backstage. There are wrestlers who have a lot more pull then others, and I don't think Hardy or RVD were part of that group. Basically, the same group of wrestlers seem to get pushes and win titles all the time.
I'm sure there's more to it then what I wrote, but I'm these are a few of the things they hated about WWE.
Thanks again for the question. Let me know if you have anything else.
Have a great day!
Dave
