Answer
Hello Patrick,
There aren抰 that many pro wrestling schools in Wisconsin. There is one by the Fusion Wrestling Alliance, with details found at: http://www.fusionwrestlingalliance.com/training.htm and there was another one by a promotion that now has moved to Colorado.  I thought I抎 find more, but I haven抰 been able to. You may wish to explore the Fusion Wrestling Alliance抯 school and if that doesn抰 interest you or is too far from your current location, you抣l have to save up money. You may look at schools in other nearby states or just save enough money to go to whatever school suits you. A list of other schools can be found at:  http://www.pwwew.net/people/schools.htm and http://www.nwlwrestling.com/contacts-schools.html

If you cannot get to a pro wrestling school now, that doesn't mean you cannot prepare yourself for pro wrestling. You can learn about pro wrestling, using interviews, books, whatever. Keep in mind taht in some cases the source may be biased to some degree or their point of view or knowledge means they do not have the full story. You can watch wrestling- and not just what you are used. Get exposed to different promotions and different styles. You might find some other styels or moves that inspire you. At the very least, knowing what moves are out there and what they are called aids with understanding if your opponent uses them.

As for tips and the like, well, there is no substitute for hard work. In pro wrestling, you will likely need part-time work to give you the money to be a pro wrestler on the independent circuit (working various small promotions). To succeed, it has a lot to do with attitude. You need to listen to trainers and other wrestlers and get the most you can out of them to help you develop your skills. Its great if you can create a persona/s that you really enjoy to play that lets you wrestle the way you want to. You need to always continue to improve, but not overburden yourself. You need to take care of your body and that includes not hitting the gym or the ring past the point where it is useful. Don抰 neglect the entertainment aspect of pro wrestling. You need to be able to connect with the audience, so take note of their reactions (or lack of them) in shaping your character. Good pro wrestling characters have an immediate appeal and are accessible for new people watching.

A lot of it is really common-sense, but it can be difficult to remember common-sense when you are passionate about something and are getting caught up in it. If you want to succeed in big promotions, they are looking not just for wrestling ability, but charisma. You need to be able to get a strong reaction from the audience. Being able to deliver good promos always helps. In pro wrestling, you work with your opponent, not against them, so make friends and contacts (which can end up helping you in a variety of ways.) Communication skills are crucial and so is teamwork. Like any other job, being polite, punctual and professional, even with those you have private disagreements with will help greatly.  Diversity in your moveset is great as it not only allows you to do more in each match, but allows you to wrestle with a wider range of styles- and thus wrestlers.

You also need patience in pro wrestling. Don抰 expect to make a big splash immediately. Don抰 expect everything in pro wrestling school to be easy. You need to be determined, passionate and persevere to get what you want. Focus on enjoying pro wrestling and entertaining the crow in itself and you don抰 worry too much about getting to the big leagues.  You抣l get there in time if you keep working at it and keep improving yourself- in pro wrestling school and beyond. Patience also applies to the travel to work shows and depending on the circumstances, any wait there might be before being able to go to a pro wrestling school.

Since you抳e been doing bodybuilding, that already gives you a bit of a step up- many people who try-out for a pro wrestling school actually aren抰 that buff to begin with. Pro wrestling requires mental preparation as much as physical preparation, but if you抳e been a full-on bodybuilder, then you likely have a good amount of the mental toughness you need already.

Good luck in your future endeavours
