admission in ovw
Question
QUESTION: Hello sir, myself golden from india. I want to become a professional wrestler and become a wwe wrestler so i want to join OHIO VELLY WRESTLING which is in USA for traning. so can u tell me the process that how i can get admission there?
ANSWER: How are you doing Golden?
WWE does not use Ohio Valley Wrestling anymore for a training center. Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) is their new primary training center. I would recommend first that you train in India. Finding a training school is a google search away. If you try to get into FCW, you would have to pay a try-out fee, pay for your own transportation to Florida, your own Visa costs, and then hope that they would take you. If they do take you, their training is quite expensive and there is no guarantee you would make it to the WWE.
If you get training in India, you will get all the experience you need. When you have 3 years worth of matches, you can send a tape to WWE. Send a tape with 3 matches against 3 different opponents, some pictures of yourself in your gear, a biography of who you are, and a resume of where you have wrestled. Send that to WWE care of new talent acquisitions. Their address is on their website. Keep calling and sending them letters until you talk to them personally.
If WWE wants to hire you, then you will get to train at FCW for free. Plus WWE will help with your travel to Florida and help you with Visa expenses and filling out the forms.
Hope this helps

QUESTION: Thank you sir, for your advice but in india there is no any good wrestling school so i want to come USA. so please tell me what should i do because i dont want to shatter my dream of to become a wrestler.
ANSWER: Good to talk to you again Golden.
As far as coming to the US to train, that would cost money. A much closer place that has a very incredible training program is Japan. Many of the best talent in the US will tour Japan at one time or another. Pro Wrestling NOAH, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and Michinoku Pro Wrestling are three good examples. Wrestling in Japan is called Puroresu. That might be a better avenue for you to get noticed in the US.
Another idea although a longer distance to travel is Mexico. Lucha Libre is starting to catch on in the US. Leagues like CMLL and AAA in good training grounds where alot of American Wrestlers go that want to get closer to making it big in wrestling.
I don't know what Japan's or Mexico's immigration laws are concerning wrestling or wrestling training. The US immigration laws don't consider professional wrestling training something for a student Visa. Japan and Mexico put more star status on wrestling then the US does. Those are two other good avenues. I don't know the expense that it would cost you, but you can begin to communicate with companies I've mentioned. All have websites in English so you can begin with those.
You have a difficult road ahead of you, but with alot of hard work and effort, you will get a long way. Good luck.

QUESTION: Thank you sir for your great advice. sir so japan would be good for me and after getting training in japan it is possible to get chance in wwe? and while training is there any chance of part time job in japan? and sir how much time it will take in japan for whole training and how much money need for whole thing?
Answer
Good to speak with you again Golden.
Yes, once you have finished your training, you will be eligible for trying to get into WWE. However, WWE has a policy that they want you to have 3 years of wrestling experience prior to your application. All puroresu training schools will have wrestling leagues where you will be able to wrestle. Most of the schools will allow you to wrestle for other companies after one year of wrestling experience.
I don't know how much the training costs in Japan or how long it will last. When you get started, you will be referred to as a "Green Boy". A Green Boy is just a term for a trainee. You will also be referred to as a "Gaigin". That means foreigner in Japanese, it's not a slur.
I am sure that you should be able to get a part time job in Japan. Most of the wrestlers in Japan are celebrities and if they like you will do what they can to help you out. You would have to start talking with the companies there and see what they can do for you. From there, go with the company that you feel will give the best training. Send emails with many questions, like how much will it cost, how long will it last, who will sponsor me there so I have a place to live, how many matches per month once I am trained. What am I expected to do as a Green Boy, and questions like that. I'm sure you will have more questions, ask them all the questions you need to know. Then when you get all the information, make your decision.
I hope that helps you
