Question
Hey since I haven't talked to u in a while I thought of this question .. Say when I get into a wrestling club would winning a championship help get in to the wwe and would getting like a 21 wins to 5 loss be good record to get noticed and do you have to he scouted by wwe to get into nxt or can you apply?

Answer
You know, it's not about wins and loses. Since wrestling is obviously pre-determined entertainment, if you have a ton of loses in a good showing, most promoters eventually give you wins down the line, especially when people flock to see you. Of course, they also start to put titles on you too once they know a guaranteed crowd are coming in just for you. If you look at a guy like Austin Aries, he gets paid a nice bit to come in, because people know he's going to bring an audience. In turn, a promoter gives him the win. It was the same with guys like Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan) and Low Ki (Kaval), all were big Indy stars and began getting bigger and bigger because they performed well. They lost a good bit, but had good showings doing it. Which is really what matters. When you start focusing on just getting the win in this business, you'll fail, because it's about telling a story and putting on a show, not who gets the predetermined win.

Obviously your rep is important, that is really what gets you known. It's what gets scout's attention. With the Internet the way it is now, a big time wrestling blogger could mention you, and WWE will look you up online, because if someone is writing about you, a video or information on you can be found. Digital media really has changed the way the WWE has done their scouting for talent. Obviously the big Indy guys get their chance to try out with WWE if they so choose, but obviously they have to pass many tests they have. I cannot tell you a lot of them though.

Now NXT is a WWE show on their website, used to be on SyFy here in the US of course. But the issue is that all of the people who appear on NXT are in WWE's developmental program, FCW. You can look up all of the people you've ever seen on NXT and you'll find FCW footage of them before NXT. Once your signed by WWE, they will use you wherever and whenever they choose pretty much. Obviously these men and women would be dumb to turn down international television or big time internet exposure.

Now I will tell you that some guys do bypass developmental, but these are the men who are seriously freakin talented. Mistico, now known as Sin Cara in WWE just got signed. He'll bypass FCW, an appearance or two down there in Tampa, FL may happen before he hits WWE TV, but he could be on on WWE TV any day now. Mistico is a massive Mexican star, trust me when I say, WWE doesn't need to develop him in any way, he's far passed developed. He's the best lucha libre star in the world, better than Rey Mysterio, trust me.

Now, you can apply for FCW, but the issue is that they are the first step to get into WWE, so, they're highly strict and don't take really anyone in without any Indy exposure. Now, if your a woman, the rules are different. But men, you must have an Indy and wrestling school background.
