Wrestlers jealous of The Rock
Question
In the past Cena, Orton, Punk, and a couple of other wrestlers have let it be known that Rock isn't exactly their favorite person. Why do you think this is? Do they feel like Rock disrespected the company by leaving? Are they just jealous? Is Rock just a jerk backstage although no one from the attitude era has ever said anything negative about Rock publicly. Is it a combination of things. Or is it their way of getting attention or saying they want to work with The Rock. What do you think?
Answer
Well no one is really jealous. John Cena for instance was a fan of Rock and he came out in interviews saying he was disappointing fans with stuff he said. Like he always loved the fans and then he left them for years never coming to an arena to see them, always being via satellite. He had a point too.
Orton also made it clear he wasn't a fan of Rock in an interview or two. I won't go over all he said, but he was far more vocal than Cena. Why do you think Rock is working with Cena and hasn't even been seen on the same screen with Orton? Pretty much tells you they don't get along.
It's not so much jealousy than guys who have been around and made the company while Rock was gone, were thrown to the side when he arrived simply because he's "The Rock". Fans love him, which is fine. But you can't just put your company on his shoulders anymore and that was Orton's main beef.
Obviously Orton is not friends with some people backstage himself, but Rock is by no means being a horrible guy back there. It's just that guys really disagree with how things are going down and some of Rock's actions. Meanwhile some of the boys and girls in the back love seeing Rock back doing something and couldn't be more happy. So, it's a few disgruntled.
But hey, I'm jealous of Rock. I'd love to be where he is in life, wouldn't you? So, if people in the back are, then I don't see it as news
