about being a prowrestler
Question
hello sir, i am in a fix of late. i am 5'6 though might grow 3-4 inches more as i am 16 yet. i really want to be a prowrestler but being short bugs me a little. i want to know if is it possible to become a multiple time champ like cena and all if i really work my butt off in this industry or is my height an achilles heel. if i have got good skills and good promo it is possible to be successful in this industry? i will be highly grateful for your kind response. thank you
Answer
Well first off, as a 16 year old whose 5'6, you of course will gain about 3 or 4 more inches. Men stop growing around 22. So, you could be around 6'0.
Now, keep in mind, Cena is not that tall actually. He's about 6'0. He's just a big dude who works out too much, lol. Keep in mind, he played sports all his life, was a bodybuilder at one point and just knows how to work in a gym and maintain and/or add muscle. So, knowing that going in, you have to realize getting Cena's size height wise is no biggy, but his total look is a huge deal that very and I mean very few can get to. Plus, he did it the right way and never really used steroids outside of surgical recovery. Dr. James Andrews who does most of WWE's surgeries for them, has his athletes recover using steroid therapy. Which gets them back to action quicker.
So, know that most who get surgeries done from WWE will use steroids to heal up quicker. But that is totally fine as it is medically great to do.
But using them for no reason by muscle gain is idiotic, especially when you still have to work out just for them to work. So, why not just work out without them? All steroids really do is help you as you work out, to move around muscles, ligaments, cartilage, etc. about 5 times as quick, and add energy. Not too much of a reason to use, eh? Then add in all the issues it can cause over a long term use!
Anyway, guys like Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, etc. all guys around or under 6'0 and have been multiple time World Champions in WWE. Reason being, they were great at what they did. They could work a story, a mic, and could wrestle. So, they all won World Titles a lot. So yes, you'd be fine if you had all the skills and could get in relatively good shape.
Not saying you need to be a Cena clone to be great. As I mentioned above, 3 men right there were/are big in WWE and all won multiple World Titles. Not to mention other championships too.
Hope this helped!
