why does Edge get to go in the Hall of Fame before Macho Man Randy Savage shouldn't he have been inducted before him?

Hi Devan.  Thanks for the question.

Savage should have been inducted years ago, but the fact is Vince McMahon had a personal grudge against him, and up until the past couple of years, didn't want anything to do with him.

The rumor for years has been that Savage that had an inappropriate relationship with Stephanie McMahon, while she was supposedly underage.  Another rumor is that Vince was simply upset and hurt that Savage jumped to WCW.  Regardless, something happened, and it upset Vince to the point where Savage became one of the few big stars that left WWE and never worked for them again.  I've read in the past where simply bringing up Savage's name would set Vince off.

After Edge retired, I think it was almost a foregone conclusion that he would be inducted this year.  This isn't like baseball or football, where I believe you have to be retired for a certain number of years before you are eligible for induction.

So although I do believe Savage should have been inducted years ago, I don't have a problem with Edge going in before him.  Of course there is still the chance Savage will be inducted this year.  It's just too bad he passed away before he could be inducted.
