how real is wwe?
Question
Hi joe,
I have a few questions.
1.Is triple really the owner of wwe or is vince still ceo and this is part of the script?
2.If vince had retired, why wasn't shane the next "boss".
3.Who decides a championship?
4.Can something go wrong or against the script, eg: if cena is scripted to lose, can he go against the script and win?
Answer
Triple H was never the owner of WWE, he was on TV as the COO, which means he basically would control the day to day operations of WWE. Vince no longer would. In all actuality, Triple H does own stock in WWE along with his wife Stephanie. They own the next largest share in the company next to Vince who has 51% of the company stock I believe, which means he still technically owns and operates the company.
Behind the scenes, Triple H does a lot of different things. He really heads up most of the things involving talent and is present in the RAW meetings with the creative team.
Vince still has last say on everything and runs the day to day operations. It's just that his character is no longer on TV so no one talks about it outside the company.
Shane actually left WWE a few years back to run his own company. It was believed that Shane never wanted control of WWE and always wanted to run his own. He sold his stock years ago, all 50 million dollars worth of it, and is no longer with WWE. So, obviously the company will fall into Triple H and Stephanie's hands once Vince fully retires or dies one, which ever comes first.
The creative and writing teams decide that. Vince is involved with all of those, so he still has last say in everything such as who wins, etc. He mostly controls RAW, but still has last say on SmackDown and NXT too, as well as Superstars. But most of the time, he leaves the lesser shows to Triple H to decide wins and what not.
A lot of the time, a script is lose for people. They can put many things in their own words for promos and what not as long as they hit on key things needed for a storyline. As far as wins and loses, if it's in the script for them to lose then they must go out and lose. IF gone against, I'm pretty sure the person would get chewed out backstage and either suspended or fired. So it's a no-no
Hope this helped! Let me know if I can help with anything else
