WWE divas age requirements...
Question
QUESTION: Hi. I have a question in regards to the hiring age requirements for the diva wrestlers. Is there any sort of age restriction that they go by or do they judge mostly on looks alone?
ANSWER: Hi Lanette, WWE judges Divas on various things. It's not just about being hot.
There is an age restriction. WWE and no other American promotion on TV accepts anyone before the age of 18. Kelly Kelly is the youngest Diva ever to be signed to a WWE deal, at 18. She debuted with them on ECW just months after signing on.
The latest young one, Britini Knight, is in FCW now. She is from England. Why did they sign her young? She is an accomplished wrestler at such a young age, and is part of the Knight Dynasty in the UK. The Knight Dynasty has all Knight names in it, all related. Her mother and father, as well as all her siblings wrestle. They are huge in the area.
So she signed with WWE months back at 19.
There is an unwritten rule these days in WWE however, that you can be signed young but cannot appear on the main roster until the age of 21.
So it seems that WWE is more about signing girls who are in their early to mid-20s. That's why I always tell girls to find a good wrestling school near by and to get Indy experience to go off of. I also recommend acting/public speaking classes. And model courses if available. All of this prepares you for WWE like nothing else.

QUESTION: I know about the beginning age requirement of being 18 and over. But isn't there a rule in regards to the oldest age requirement for hiring. I read somewhere online (At least I think) that the maximum age that they would allow wrestlers to be hired is 30. Any age above that And they wouldn't get hired. Is that true or will the WWE still hire wrestlers above that age?
Answer
It really depends on the person. They hired Batista in his 30s. And Alberto Del Rio was hired a few years back in his 30s. So really, it's more on the person and if they are already a big name in another company or are making a comeback to WWE. But if some no name wanted in after 30, then chances are that they will not hire them. Especially a woman after 30.
