Suplex?
Question
Is there a penalty for suplexing a kid in scholastic? Is that a slam?
Let's say it's as high as 5 points in freestyle.
Is that allowed?
Answer
A suplay is illegal in high school or college wrestling. So is a front salto. The difference between these two moves is; the suplay is thrown when you are behind your opponent standing on your feet, the salto is the same move only thrown from a belly to belly position.
In Freestyle you can land your opponent on their shoulders from the Suplay position and win the match but it is not legal in high school. I assume that is what you mean by "scholastic".
You can throw an opponent is a similar manner as the suplay but you must turn during the throw and bring your opponent to the mat with control.
I hope that helps.
