Question
Hi,i am 28 yrs old , i want to know the difference between amateur and professional wrestling(in terms of techinical aspect).
I have martial arts background so which one would u recommend.
Answer
Well, since you have a martial arts background, i would go with the Professional Wrestling. But this is sorta difficult since few wrestlers make it that far and actually become famous and good at it. I would recommend first going into Amateur wrestling so you learn basic wrestling techniques. Then you could use the basic plus marital arts skill. The difference are simple, amateur is just grappling, no hitting punching or slamming. Professional is basically anything goes, (cept for hitting people over the head with a baseball bat and so forth). If you really into fighting then i suggest Cage fighting like UFC style cause that's what most martial artists go into. If your looking for wrestling though, go into amatuer to build up your basic skills and then go into professional. I hoped that helped, good luck
