Answer
the thing about wreslting is its diversity. with different weights and whatnot and different ways to do pretty much the same move. there is no one way of doing anything really. not knowing what kind of cradle it was i can't say for sure what you could do differently. a nearside cradle, i would say; after its locked knock him to his far hip so he's flat to the mat, with your knee try and scoop the leg you have secured up in front of your two legs(so as you're kind of cradling him with your bodyweight instead of just your arms), if you're having trouble with it, try rotating your hands up towards his head, that usually helps. a farside cradle, i'd say try and stay as tight to his body as you can, the more space between you, the more space he has to squeeze out.
you want to burn fat, well wrestling is going to help that a lot. i don't know how old you are, but i have an idea by what you've told me about your weight classes and what not. i'll tell you this, no more candy, no more fried food, no more soda. i mean NONE! those are the things that get kids into trouble. too much sugar. you're going to burn a lot of calories when you wrestle, and when you practice, and when you run on the weekends. so all you have to do is make sure that all the calories that you eat are good for you. veggies, fruits, lean meats, low fat dairy, whole grains. your parents should be able to help you out there. just watch out for the bad stuff, anything that takes less than ten minutes to prepare, probably isn't too good for you. fast food isn't "good for you" food! good luck getting down to 115 and with your next match!
