I might have to skip wrestling this year
Question
I might have to skip wrestling this year because of where i moved to, I would move in with a friend but i have to live with my parent for health insurance reasons.Anyways I have wrestled for the past two years and am going into my junior year, I'm a state qualifier and just mentioning the fact that i might not wrestle for a year is horrifying.I was wondering if there is anything i could do to improve my technique over the course of this year to prepare for my senior year.the thing is i live in a small town with no wrestling, including clubs. I trying to find a job to be able to either fix the whole situation or get money to be able to go to tournaments and camps.im open for any suggestions,
thank you
Answer
Hey Tyler,
That is a tough call to lay out for a whole year, especially since you are nearing the top of your game as a state qualifier - that could be champ this year or your sr. yr. If it were me, I would find a job and handle the whole situation and stay where you can wrestle. That will be so much easier to do, as opposed to trying to realistically formulate a shadow-boxing style of training by yourself. Certainly, you could make serious head way shadow sparring, but at some point you need a mat full of fresh, round robin, sparring partners to test your resilience and your resolve, on a daily basis, off-season, as well as in-season. I have some further ideas on how you could raise money marketing competitive edge products, like "Perfect Water" available for resale from my website.(example - you could market the world's best water to the schools in your area and have them purchase water from your affiliate weblink for their respective booster club and spectator events as well as for all of the sports teams within the area school system, as in football players in two - a - day practices concerned with deydration dangers = big cash for YOU!!!) (http://rmcdonald7.qhealthzone.com/ ), but first things first. See what you can do with plan 1 which is find the job. Then if, that does not seem feasible, let's proceed with plan 2. Hit me back and let me know your progress.
