Answer
Hey David,
I commend you for your efforts to keep the dream alive for wrestling in your school! You are in a tough situation, but it is not insurmountable. Because of your timeline, the quickest route that I can think of would be to call Bob Ferraro at the NHSCA (National HighSchool Coaches Association - nhsca.com) and let him know about your situation. The NHSCA has a network of coaches nationwide and can make recommendations or assist you in this matter. Also put the coach who stepped up to help you in touch with this organization to assist in getting this matter resolved. I am not sure, but if enough support is generated by concerned parents and student-athletes like yourself, the school may find its best interest to place a surrogate in order to not discriminate against the sport. Mr. Ferraro can be reached at (610) 923-0900. Good luck and keep me posted on your situation.
Yours in the Quest for Gold,
Coach Rae-Rae
