I want to be a wrestler

Dear Sir
I am from India and i have planned to take wrestling as my carrer but sir i have a few problems first of all as i stay in India there are very rare wrestling schools in my city 2.My parents often tell me that wrestling is bad which i don't believe 3.I always believe that i am made for wreestling 4.Whenever i see a wrestler wrestling in the ring i fell like wrestling I am just mad about wrestling Please help me Sir

Thank you for the question. Let me ask you to consider the following: are you interested in being an amateur wrestler (i.e. Olympic-team) or a professional wrestler (i.e. WWE)? I would recommend becoming well-versed in Judo and Jujitsu for your grappling skills and resistance-training to increase strength and motor-skills. You must also consider your weight and the eventual weight-class that you will wrestle at. I would also check out where your Olympic team trains and become an intern in that arena where India's best are to give you an idea of the commitment that is necessary for the sport of wrestling. Wrestling is good because it will give you a self-defense at the least, as well as increasing your strength and mental-toughness. You seem to have the desire necessary for wrestling, now just connect the dots by placing yourself in the arena where the best are training.
