Answer
Your 100 yd. free time didn't appear, but I think that what is more important is your work ethic. Dropping 5-6 seconds is difficult for the 100, and would likely be impossible for the 50. However, I think that with the 2 hours a day for 5 days a week, a reasonable goal would be 4-5 seconds in the 100 and maybe 2 seconds in the 50. It really depends on your age, what kind of practices you have, and your body type. However, men are much more likely to drop significant amounts of time than women because of the nature and makeup of their bodies, so there is hope! About the weights...I definitely suggest lifting at least 2 times a week, but ideally 3. No heavy lifting is necessary, and I do not recommend bench presses or other weights that are hard on the shoulders and back. But doing even light free weights is incredibly beneficial if you do the right amount of reps. One excercise I recommend involves 3-5 lb. weights. Lie on your side, supporting yourself with your hand to your head, and place the other elbow at your waist. Then, simply lift your hand (with the weight in it) perpendicular to the floor. I would start out with 3 sets of 20 reps, and work your way up. I know this may seem like it wouldn't help, but trust me, it will build up your muscles in no time. Butterfly presses, crunches, and pull-ups will also help. I hope that this information is helpful, let me know if you have any other questions!
