hello ,i am 8 years old and swim for westminster swim squad.i came first in the long distant swim three years running in my age group.my times are 50 m crawl 37.40 50m fly 46.97 50m back48. 56 50m breast 54.oo.i would like to know if i should change sqauds i have been seen by rhys gormley olympic coach he would like me to train with him 5 days a week .what should i do? thank you marlon

Hi Marlon-
That's a real tough question. The first thing you should do is speak with your parents and find out what they think. You and your parents should probably arrange a meeting with Coach Gormley and discuss what his objectives are. Being that you are only 8 years old, you have a few years before you really need to get overly serious about training, you don't want to get burned out(bored with the sport). As you probably know training for a National or Olympic squad takes a lot of time and effort. Keep working hard and good luck with whatever you decide.
