Looking for beginner diving lessons in Baltimore for 11

Answer
Carol - The best place to find information on diving lessons is to seek out AAU registered diving teams in your area. These diving clubs will provide the best beginning level instruction for your diver.
Go to aau.org and navigate the folowing way:
1. Click on the 'Sports Pages' menu and click on 'Aquatics'
2. Click on 'Diving Sports Contacts '
3. Scroll down to 'Maryland District ' and contact Les Ballard.
4. You can also scroll down to 'Potomac Valley District ' and contact Roland McDonald who runs the Patriot Dive Club.
There is an excellent diving program at the Montgomery Aquatic Center near Bethesda. That coach, John Wolsh, also runs a program out of the Germantown Indoor Swim Center in Boyds, Maryland.
You might also try the University of Maryland as they have an excellent aquatic center. As far as a lesson program directly in Baltimore, I think you would have to ask Les Ballard that question as I do not know a coach in that city.
The most successful program in Maryland is run by John Wolsh of the Montgomery Dive Club. Go to www.montgomerydiveclub.org for more information.
Good luck.
