Beginning springboard and platform diving

I am looking for a local beginning springboard and platform diving lessons for my 9 year old daughter who has recently expressed interest. We live in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

You happen to live in an area with many different choices for diving lessons. The Florida Gold Coast Diving Association has several teams in the Ft. Lauderdale area. Go to www.usadiving.org. Place your cursor over Clubs and click on Find A Club. Enter your state and a list of teams will come up. The most successful one is the Ft. Lauderdale Diving Team that practices at the Hall of Fame Pool right on the beach.It is run by my coaching friend Dave Burgering, one of our Olympic diving coaches from last year.He will be hosting two big meets very soon, one this month and one in May. More info at this same website. You and your daughter should attend and see some of the best divers in the US and world.

You can also try www.aaudiving.org, click on diving sport contacts and when the map comes up, click on district numbers in south Florida. When the contact name comes up, track down Paul Breitfeller who coaches the Plantation Dive Team. Very successful coach for kids new to diving.
