Beginer seeking Platform Diving lessons

Hello,
I am a 40 year old beginner seeking Platform / Spring Board diving lessons in San Francisco, California.  Could you please tell me where I could find a diving pool in
San Francisco, California that offers Platform / Spring Board lessons for beginners.  Thank you

The only diving in S.F. is found at St. Ignatius H.S. and I am sure the pool is only for students. There is also a diving pool at the University of San Francisco at the Koret Center but I do not think that there is a coach at that school.They do not have a college team. You are really not going to find a place for adults in your city.It is just not an aquatic town.

The place you want to go to is a team for adult divers that practices at Stanford University. There is nothing closer than that because all the platform facilities in the Bay Area are found in Santa Clara County. They have a great group of adults coached by Tanja Gerchoun who coached for Finland at the 2000 Olympic Games.

Masters Diving is a term used for adult recreational competitive diving. It is for all levels of people interested in the sport whether you compete or not. The guy you want to contact is Alex Lapidus, an officer with USA Masters Diving National Body. He is also a member of the Stanford Masters Diving Team. Go to www.mastersdiving.org. Look on the left hand side of the home page for e-mail addresses. Click on that link and scroll down until you find his name. Contact him to see when they practice which is probably at night and on the weekend afternoons. Stanford has one of the best outdoor pools in the US. I am sure you will enjoy working out with them.
