diving lessons in NYC

Hi- I am looking for a place for my 14 year old daughter to take diving lessons in NYC. She has some prior experience. Thanks.

Here are some suggestions to find a diving program for you daughter in NYC:

The person I am most familiar with in NYC is Gordon Spencer, the coach at Columbia University.He has had a program (Morningside Divers) there for many years and is very successful. There is also a program run in the Fordham area by a Chinese coach that is also very good.

Go to these websites to find teams:

www.usadiving.org - Click on Clubs and then Find A Club. Enter NY and a list of teams will come up. There may not be phone numbers or e-mails but enough info to find a coach.

www.divemeets.com - At the top of the home page, click on List of Divers, Teams and Coaches.
Click on teams and a huge list will come up. Under "AAU Diving" scroll down to teams under
NY. Click on each teams name to get contact info. Scroll down farther to USA Diving Clubs and do the same thing. It might be repetitive but this way you will attain info on all NY State clubs.
