Swordfish have been recorded diving as deep as 1,800 feet (549 meters) to hunt for food. They are known for their long bills, which they use to slash at prey, and their streamlined bodies, which allow them to swim quickly through the water. Swordfish are also found in temperate and tropical waters around the world.
