How deep are competition pools?

Competition pools typically range in depth from 1.8 to 2.2 metres (5.9 to 7.2 feet). The minimum depth for an Olympic swimming pool is 2 metres (6.6 feet), and the maximum is 3 metres (9.8 feet). The FINA (Fédération Internationale de Natation) recommends a water depth of 2 metres for international competitions.
