nearest diving pools

Question
I have an 8 year old daughter who has been diving for a year under a talent identification program in England.
We are going to Orlando Florida for 3 weeks and she is anxious about missing so much training time as she trains for 9 hours a week. Do you know if there are any public diving platforms where she can go to practice near Disney World?

It is fortunate that you will be spending your holiday in a city that has a very good diving facility and has hosted our National Championships many times. The team that practices there, Team Orlando, is one of the best in the States. You can find their contact info by going to
www.usadiving.org, click on Clubs and then Find A Club. Enter Florida and a list of teams will come up. Look for a link to their website and contact the coaches to see when they practice. There have been many international teams that have trained and competed there so you won't have a problem being welcomed.

The pool is right in the heart of the tourist district on International Drive. Not too far from Disney World and other amusement parks.They have a large diving well with all platform heights and about 12 springboards! Great coaching staff too with former Olympic divers.

I would bring proof of her membership with your club team in Great Britain along with maybe a letter from her coach explaining what list of dives she is currently working on. See if she can train with one their best young female divers, Wallace Layland.There will also be many girls in her age group to practice with.
