diving team

I have a 9 year old daughter who has been in tumbling and trampoline for 3 years and is a level 6 national competitor.  She is wanting to make the transition to springboard and platform diving.  Can you give me some instructors in the Denton County, Texas area.  Thank You,

In looking up the county where you live on Google Maps, it looks like you live close to the greater Dallas-Ft. Worth area. This metro area is known for very strong and successful diving teams. The program that looks the closest to Denton is the G.C. Divers. They practice out of two pools in the Grapevine-Colleyville suburb. Go to www.gcdivers.com for info on where they have their lesson program.

You can also go to www.usadiving.org, click on Clubs and then Find A Club. Enter Texas and a list of teams will come up. There is a team listed (Mustangs in the Sun) that uses the pool at SMU but that may be farther than GC Divers.

Our Junior Olympic National Championships are going on right now in Tucson AZ for the next two weeks or so so if you do not hear back right away from a team that is probably the reason why.The GC Divers just had two divers make National Team at this meet and will represent the USA at the Junior Olympic World Championships in September, also in Tucson. They have an excellent coaching staff so I am sure you will be happy with their programs.
