Springboard diving camps
Question
Do you know of any springboard diving summer camps for high school students who are fairly new to the sport, are diving at the sectional level of competition, and are looking for a camp in Massachusetts? I am a diving coach on Nantucket and have athletes looking to keep up and expand their skills over the summer.

The best person to contact about diving in Mass is Joe Chirico, the head coach of Boston Area Diving and also Northeastern University He has the most experience and knowledge about these kinds of programs than anyone in Boston. He has weekend camps all the time your divers should attend. His website is www.gobad.com.
There are other college coaches you should contact such as Keith Miller of Harvard. His wife is the coach at Boston University. Also try the coach at Boston College who may know of a camp.
You can find contact info on all these programs by going to www.usadiving.org. Click on Clubs and then Find A Club. Enter MA and a list of teams will come up. Also at this site, click on Divers a then Camps and Clinics.
Another site to go to is www.divemeets.com. On their home page you find ads for several camps although they are not in Mass.
Finally, go to www.diving.about.com. Enter Diving Camps in the search box and there will be links to several articles about diving camps.
Good luck. I am sure they will something they will like to attend.
