The sea was not invented, it is a natural feature of the Earth. The oceans formed around 4.4 billion years ago when the Earth was still very hot and the atmosphere was composed mainly of water vapor. As the Earth cooled, the water vapor condensed and fell as rain, filling the low-lying areas of the planet.
