Dryland training facilities
Question
With trampoline parks springing up everywhere I wondered if any include dryland training for divers with foam pits and harnesses? Would that be something average people would use or only divers? Could it increase interest and awareness of diving?

I have visited a couple of these trampoline parks as I was curious about what type of equipment they have and if they had foam pits and harnesses. One had a chunky foam pit like gymnasts use where kids could do flips from a tramp into the pit. On the other tramps, flips were not allowed and there were no spotting belts. The other place had no foam pits but they did have the ropes and harness set up.
These places were built to attract kids who are into extreme sports. Also kids who want to be better at snowboard tricks on a half pipe. The instructors were teaching kids how to flip side ways for the snowboard events and also for wake boarders. They claimed to have classes for divers but I could tell they were not real diving coaches.
These tramp parks could be beneficial to divers but only if they hire qualified diving coaches who know how to use a tramp to the benefit of the athlete. Most recreational tramp instructors do not know how to use the harness system in such a way that divers could land in a handstand. They only know how to use it for feet first landings.
These places make their money from people who want to use a tramp recreationally or for adult fitness. If you want to get an idea of what one place has to offer, go to this website:
www.houseofair.com and look up the classes they have.
This is all I know about these tramp parks. Hope all this helps.
