NJ lessons
Question
Hello Tom,
I am looking for a location where my 8 year old son Jack can take springboard lessons or participate in a diving class/camp. We live in Atlantic Highlands, NJ (Monmouth County).
Thank you very much,
Carrie

In looking on an internet map service, it seems the area you live in is not known for having pools with diving equipment. There are good teams with lessons programs in your state but you do not live close to them. You will have to drive about and hour or so to get to them. Go to these websites to find the closest one:
www.usadiving.org - Click on 'Join USA Diving' and then Find A Club. Enter NJ and a couple of teams will come up with contact info. Also enter NY or PA to see what those areas have to offer.
www.divemeets.com - Click on Team List and huge list of teams will come up. Under AAU Diving, scroll down until you come to NJ in the third column. Look to the left for team names and click on a team and contact info will come up. Also look for teams in NY and PA.
www.aaudiving.org - Another source to find programs.
www.swimmersguide.com - Click on 'Find A Pool anywhere in the world' Enter USA, then NJ and then Counties and then Monmouth. Click on a cities name to see if they offer diving lessons.
www.diving.about.com - Site that explains the sport.Enter lessons in the search box.
You will need to do some searching and if nothing close comes up, call some of these programs and ask if they have summer camps for young beginners.
Good luck. Hope you find something.
