Masters dicing instruction/club in Richmond, VA?
Question
I dove in college and am trying to find a way to continue. I live in Richmond, VA and have found older resources identifying clubs, but cannot find any current information; perhaps they've disbanded? Do you know of any current coaches/clubs in my area? Thanks!

The only program I found in your city is Capitol Dive Club coached by Eliot Clark. I found this team by going to www.usadiving.org, clicked on Join USA Diving and then Find A Club. Enter VA and a list of teams will come up. You'll find his contact info there.
Other options include:
1. Try contacting the coach at the University of Richmond, Erika Matheis, and see if she can help you. Just Google 'Richmond Spiders' and you'll find their athletic department website. Click on Swimming and Diving at the homepage and navigate your way to find her contact info.
2. Go to www.mastersdiving.org. Click on Our Divers and look for e-mail addresses of divers near you. Ask them where they practice. You can also try the message board and post a question asking where adults can dive in your area.
3. www.aaudiving.org - another source to find a program. Mainly for divers age 19 and under but it is worth a try.
4. www.divemeets.com - click on Find and then teams or coaches.Huge list under teams. Scroll down looking under the states column and then click on team names in VA.
5. www.diving.about.com - site that explains the sport. Type Masters Diving in the search box and see what comes up.
Good luck. I am sure you will find something.
