Competitive Diving Teams/Clubs?

Just the other day I took my son to the 2012 Junior Diving Nationals, and he really got into the sport and now wants to get involved.
I live in Greensboro NC, and I was wondering if you would recommend any teams or clubs near the Greensboro or Asheboro NC area. I am also a single parent, I can't afford 250 a month for my son to dive. Any suggestions, or anything would help! Also he is a beginner, but has a bit of experience in gymnastics.

The only program I know of in Greensboro is the Ultimate Air Dive Club. You can find their contact info by going to www.usadiving.org, click on Join USA Diving and then Find A Club. Enter NC and a list if teams will come up.

If you have already looked at this program and it is too expensive, you might consider the drive to the Raleigh Durham area where there are two other clubs, one at Duke and the other at UNC Chapel Hill.

Diving can be expensive because of the cost of the equipment (one diving board is almost $4,000), the cost to heat the pool and pool rents for a coach.

When you inquire about lessons for your son ask about a two day a week learn to dive program which should be the least expensive.
