track
Question
Hello, thanks for your help. I just started walking and we have a high school track nearby to use. Can you tell me the distance, isn't it usually 1/4 mile one time around? But what about a progression? Such as if I start on the inside lane and work my way out? Can you please explain? Thank you very much!

I do not know for certain if all school tracks are the same one quarter mile, this is why I told you to buy a cheap pedometer to hang onto your sock, wrist, wherever. Wal Marts have them cheap, then you know exactly how much exercise you did that day.
If it is 1/4, yes, start inside track and work out, work up to 3 mile a day for loosing weight, tightening up firming up, etc. I would do a brisk one on inside once your fitted up fairly well, then start outside to the very end doing just a walk, then one half lap of cool down very slow but keep moving until you have cooled down and your heart rate has steadied.
Walking is so great, you can prodict just what your goals are going to be and set out to accomplish them. If it is to brisk walk a 3 mile course, go for it, a good soaking sweat is how you cleanse the body and drop pounds. Have a great day and ask somebody about the size of track, I always used roads.
Kind Regards

The Best to you and keep in touch.
Should I walk?
