hi,
I just started walking for excercise, am walking 5 kilomtres everyday, do you think if I continue like this, will I notice a significant weight loss?, am overweight and have a big tummy, I've got 98 kilograms. Is there any kind of life style that might block me from lossing weight regardless of how much I excercise, asked this because am bulimic ( do eat alot)

Good for you on your new lifestyle! I mean this sincerely. Walking every day is the surest way I know to lose weight.
If you have not been in the habit of daily exercise and now you are and you are NOT increasing your food intake you will of course loose weight.
When people ask me how long it will take I worry. And you didn't do that so congratulations again.
I think what you are asking me is if walking really works, and to that I emphatically say yes.
And to the second question: Is there anhy kind of lifestyle that might block me from losing weight regradless of how much I exercise, the answer to that is YES! A lifestyle of taking in more calories in a day than you could possibly burn of walking.
Start with little steps and I guarantee it will work. I know hundreds of people like you who have taken the same steps that you are and have slowly built walking into their days so that in time they are walking every day without fail for 1 hour. Take it slow though, it is a big change for neubies. I was one...I know. Once you get walking more you will notice you will make new food choices and before you know it you have a new healty you!
