Treadmills
Question
Hi Patt,
I had a light heart attack too last August due to a 100% occlussion of the right coronary artery,(had no symptoms beforehand either!). I am anticipating purchasing a motorized treadmill to use when the weather is bad or when conditions limit my walking outside.
I would like to stay in the $400.00 to $600.00 price range. Can I get a fairly reliable one in this price range at Wal-Mart or any other stores? If not, where should I look? Are used ones in the classifieds usually a good buy?
Also, are there any things such as types of motors or other technical things which I should be wary of when purchasing one? Thank you very much!
Sincerely,
Mike Eidson, Lac.
Answer
Hi Mike
Treadmills are a matter of personal opinion and likes. Some like the ones with no motor at all you walk your own speed on.
You can often get a good buy on a really good one at Sears, I bought mine there many moons ago and paid little and sold for more.
Yes, many people get tired of them, take care of them and put them up for sale cheap. Check it out in ads before paying for it, make sure all things work on it and if a warranty applies yet on it for many take exteneded ones out on them.
I like the motor ones and u should be able to shop about and find a good one for the price range your in, but shop, u do not need all the gadgets included, just a pulse rate, good motor an incline and your ready to go.
Kind Regards
Patt
